St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 100 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kayla Nicole Morin, 32, Berwick, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2022, at 11:27 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set.

 

John Joseph Demarco, 31, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 22, 2022, at 9:08 pm on the following charges:

• Speeding
• No child restraint
• Possession of schedule II drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule II drugs
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Illegal use of CDS in presence of person under 17
• Possession of schedule III drugs

Bail was set at $20,000.

 

Ezekiel Anderson IV, 29, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 22, 2022, at 9:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by convicted felon
• Illegal use/possession/control of weapons-crime of violence/CDS
• Possession of schedule I CDS
• Possession of marijuana or sythetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
• Possession of a schedule II CDS
• Possession of a schedule IV CDS
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail was set at $35,000.

 

Colleen Marie Kelly, 50, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 23, 2022, at 6:22 pm for battery of a dating partner. Bail was set at $2,500.
