St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Zada Wiggins, 19, Berwick, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2022, at 8:25 pm for possession of marijuana and failure to obey traffic control. Wiggins was released on a summons to appear on April 21, 2022.

 

Benjamin I. Pittman Jr., 20, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2022, at 8:22 pm for possession of marijuana. Pittman was released on a summons to appear on April 21, 2022.

 

Corleen Brown, 38, Houma, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2022, at 11:35 pm for driving under suspension. Brown was released on a summons to appear on April 21, 2022.

 

Juvenile Male, 17, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2022, at 10:08 pm for pornography involving juvenile(s). The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Curtis Ledrell Williams, 39, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2022, at 10:37 pm on the following charges:

• Improper lane usage
• Reckless operation-no accident
• Resisting an officer by flight
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
• Obstruction of justice-tampering
• Transaction involving proceeds from drug offense
• Battery on a police officer
• Violation of a CDS law drug-free zone
• Resisting arrest or officer

Bail has not been set.

 

Jalen Jones, 19, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 26, 2022, at 8:41 pm for illegal carrying of a weapon. Jones was released on a $1,000 bond.
