St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Demetrius Devate Owens, 29, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 24, 2022, at 12:49 am for battery of a correctional officer-aggravated. Owens continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Juvenile Male, 16, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on February 24, 2022, at 1:52 pm for disturbing the peace by language and resisting arrest or officer. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Ulyess John Boudreaux, 41, Rayne, LA, was arrested on February 24, 2022, at 3:23 pm for duty of offender to notify law enforcement of change of address and failure to pay annual registration fee. Bail has not been set.

 

Michael Jerome Williams Jr., 24, Berwick, LA, was arrested on February 24, 2022, at 4:08 pm for the following charges:

• Maximum speed limit
• No child restraint
• Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of firearm in presence of a CDS
• Illegal possession of a firearm by convicted felon
• Illegal use of CDS in presence of a person under 17 years of age
• Possession or dealing in unregistered or illegally transferred weapons
• Failure to register as a sex offender

Bail has not been set.

 

Jonathan Ray Beadle, 31, Bayou Vista, LA, on February 24, 2022, at 7:37 pm for driving under suspension. Beadle was released on a summons to appear on May 10, 2022.

 

Christopher Jonathan Viscardi, 40, Berwick, LA, was arrested on February 25, 2022, at 1:25 pm for the following charges:

• Reckless operation-no accident
• Aggravated flight from officer
• Obstruction of highway-aggravated
• No driver's license on person
• Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of firearm in presence of CDS
• Transactions involving proceeds from drug offense

Darnell Jermaine Ayro Sr., 38, Jeanerette, LA, on February 24, 2022, at 12:01 pm for driving under suspension, general speed law, and on a warrant for failure to appear. Bail has not been set.

Joseph James Thibodaux, 24, Franklin, LA, on February 24, 2022, at 3:25 pm for resisting an officer, possession of schedule II (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set.
