St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 113 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Michele Lea Bertrand, 36, Patterson, LA, was arrested on March 18, 2022, at 9:34 am for traffic control signals and possession of marijuana-2nd offense. Bertrand was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

Crisogono Garcia, 34, Highlands, TX, was arrested on March 18, 2022, at 8:18 pm for reckless operation-no accident and no insurance. Garcia was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

Gabriel Laverne Keys III, 50, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on March 18, 2022, at 8:19 pm for disturbing the peace-intoxicated. Keys was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

Deandre Jackson, 21, Patterson, LA, was arrested on March 18, 2022, at 9:47 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Jackson was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

Kristie Lynn Blanchard, 44, Berwick, LA, was arrested on March 19, 2022, at 1:12 pm for resisting an officer by giving false information and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of a schedule II CDS (methamphetamine). Bail has not been set.

 

Derek P. Mayea, 40, Garden City, LA, was arrested on March 20, 2022, at 7:53 pm for leash law and unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog. Mayea was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

Whitney Gerica Thomas, 34, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 20, 2022, at 6:46 am for failure to dim headlights and no insurance. Thomas was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Derick Alexander, 33, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on March 20, 2022, at 6:27 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule I with intent to distribute (synthetic marijuana)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
• Possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by person convicted of certain felonies
• Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding
• Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Warrant for attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons

Alexander is being held for another agency.
