St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Wayne Michael Escort, 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 30, 2022, at 10:02 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile-felony. Bail has not been set.

 

Joshua Davon Crosby, 33, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on March 30, 2022, at 10:06 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon. Bail has not been set.

 

Virgis Marie Metrejean, 58, Pierre Part, LA, was arrested on March 30, 2022, at 11:50 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving while intoxicated. Bail has not been set.

 

Jamal Bell, 18, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 29, 2022, at 10:06 pm for battery-simple. Bell was released on a summons to appear on June 24, 2022.

 

Brandon Leigh Boudreaux, 36, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 31, 2022, at 1:02 am on the following charges:

• Driving on roadway laned for traffic
• General speed law
• No insurance
• Possession of methamphetamines
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail has not been set.

 

Kai Allen Martin, 34, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on March 30, 2022, at 8:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of speeding and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Bail was set at $400.
