St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 99 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Juvenile Male, 17, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 8, 2022, at 2:30 pm for reckless operation-no accident. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Michael Wade McFarland, 67, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on April 8, 2022, at 4:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of for maximum speed limit, driver must be licensed, no insurance. Maggard was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.

 

Carlton Joseph Melancon Jr., 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2022, at 9:53 pm on the following charges:

• Driving on roadway laned for traffic
• Possession of marijuana
• Obstruction of justice-tampering

Melancon also held a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family, as well as a warrant through the Louisiana State Police. Bail was set at $174,383.13.

 

Jules Edward Anderson III, 36, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2022, at 1:14 am for improper lane usage and driving under suspension. Anderson was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.

 

Drake Walker, 25, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2022, at 4:24 am for reckless operation w/accident. Walker was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.

 

Chamber Eugine Ardoin, 24, Schreiver, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2022, at 6:58 am for hit and run and failure to report accident. Ardoin was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.

 

Ken L. Domengeaux Jr., 22, Kaplan, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2022, at 9:52 am for maximum speed limit and possession of drug paraphernalia. Domengeaux was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.

 

Adrian Franco, 20, Kaplan, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2022, at 9:52 am for possession of drug paraphernalia. Franco was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.

 

Cory Robert Frank Jones, 37, Berwick, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2022, at 11:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of no driver's license on person. Bail has not been set.

 

Roger Ray Campbell Jr., 31, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2022, at 9:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule I (MDMA)
• Possession of schedule II (cocaine)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

Bail was set at $14,000.
