St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Anthony James Ackman, 40, Centerville, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2022, at 2:40 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Battery of a dating partner
• Domestic abuse battery
• Aggravated battery
• Violation of a protective order

Bail has not been set.

Shanna Lalene Charles, 43, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2022, at 6:01 pm on a warrant for failure for possession of schedule II CDS (crack cocaine) and possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set.

NARCOTICS SECTION

Delwin Brown, 39, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2022, at 6:28 pm for possession of schedule I (MDMA) with intent to distribute. Bail was set at $1,000.
