St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 98 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jodi K. Daigle, 55, Berwick, LA, was arrested on June 24, 2022, at 1:30 pm for violation of protection orders. Daigle was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Kenneth Keith Phillips, 52, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on June 24, 2022, at 8:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for flight from an officer, operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, and improper lane usage. Bail has not yet been set.

 

Felicia Margaret Young, 50, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 25, 2022, at 12:26 am for domestic abuse aggravated assault. Bail has not been set.

 

Derrick Shawn Kirt, 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 25, 2022, at 9:10 pm for open container, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest or officer. Bail was set at $4,500.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Corey D. Delatte, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 24, 2022, at 4:30 pm for theft and possession of schedule II (methamphetamine).

A deputy received information concerning a subject stealing metal and large items from a business in the unincorporated area near Berwick. The deputy subsequently located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and made contact with the driver, identified as Delatte.

Through the stop, Delatte admitted to taking the stolen property, which was still in the vehicle, from the business.  A K9 deputy arrived on the scene and deployed K9 Duko for an open-air scan. K9 Duko showed a positive odor response on the vehicle and methamphetamine was located. Delatte was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set.

 

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
