St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Stacey Lynn Grubbs, 41, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 29, 2022, at 5:09 pm on a warrant for theft. Grubbs was released on a summons to appear.

 

Daryl J. Richard, 59, Gibson, LA, was arrested on July 30, 2022, at 1:02 am on the following charges:

• Careless operation
• Failure/owner to secure registration
• No insurance
• Driving under suspension

Bail has not been set.

 

Dean Joseph Beranek, 36, Berwick, LA, was arrested on July 31, 2022, at 11:15 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disobeying traffic sign. Beranek was released on a $275 bond.

 

Stephanie M. Carey, 56, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 31, 2022, at 4:50 pm on a warrant for telephone calls/harassment and extortion. Bail has not been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Devan Nichole Serpa, 36, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 29, 2022, at 1:21 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule II (methamphetamine)
• Possession of schedule II (cocaine)
• Possession of schedule I (marijuana)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail has not been set.

 

Nathan Thomas III, 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 29, 2022, at 1:21 pm on the following charges:

• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Possession of schedule I with intent to distribute (marijuana)
• Possession of schedule I with intent to distribute (synthetic cannabinoids)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family

Bail has not been set.
