St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Larry James Pommier Jr., 39, Breaux Bridge, LA, was arrested on August 1, 2022, at 6:45 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of monetary instrument abuse. Pommier is being held without bond.  

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Gerald Jones, 47, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 1, 2022, at 5:26 pm on the following charges:

• Brake light out
• No license plate
• Resisting an officer
• Illegal carrying of a weapon

Jones was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
