St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 21 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Michael Gerald Johnson, 27, Berwick, LA, was arrested on August 11, 2022, at 2:46 am on the following charges:

• Turning movements and required signals
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Introduction of contraband-penal institution

Bail was set at $3,750.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Jason Lee Young Jr., 26, Houma, LA, was arrested on August 10, 2022, at 6:45 pm for speeding, no driver's license, and possession of schedule II (methamphetamine). Bail has not been set at this time.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
