St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 101 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Ciara Vaughntasha Williams, 34, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on August 12, 2022, at 11:55 am for theft by shoplifting and resisting an officer by giving false information. Williams also held two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of theft and prostitution. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Tina Ware, 40, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 14, 2022, at 11:30 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of theft and simple battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

James Patrick Chaisson, 55, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 15, 2022, at 1:18 am on driving on roadway laned for traffic and resisting arrest or officer. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
