St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Eric Lawrence Peltier, 42, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2022, at 11:55 am for burglary from a vehicle and possession of stolen property. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Brian Joseph Barrilleaux, 37, Berwick, LA, was arrested on August 15, 2022, at 3:25 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids and simple battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Gregory Joseph Payne, 19, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 15, 2022, at 7:27 pm on resisting an officer by flight, failure to maintain control, and disobeyed stop sign. Payne was released on a $2,250 bond.

 

Jarvis Darrell Granger, 36, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2022, at 4:23 am on the following charges:

• Resisting arrest or officer
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I drugs (MDMA)
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of crack cocaine
• Possession of schedule IV with intent to distribute

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
