St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Juvenile Male, 17, Centerville, LA, was arrested at 10:45 am on September 19, 2022, for battery of a school teacher. The juvenile male was arrested and released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Jamand Winters Johnson, 32, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 21, 2022, at 1:44 pm for domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Anthony Butler, 58, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 21, 2022, at 10:06 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery-simple. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Kierra Castle, 32, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 21, 2022, at 12:57 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery of a police officer, assault-simple, and littering. Bail was set at $7,000.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
