Arrest Report- December 5, 2022

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 116 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Derek Moses Gaskins, 42, Amelia, LA, was arrested on December 2, 2022, at 12:52 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, modified exhaust, and aggravated assault with a firearm. Gaskins was released on a $6,000.

 

Don Michael Fryou, 34, Gibson, LA, was arrested on December 2, 2022, at 4:59 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Gaskins was released on a $6,000.

 

James Cameron McFarland, 37, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2022, at 7:10 pm on an Assumption Parish warrant for criminal damage to property-simple. McFarland is being held for another agency.

 

Samantha Jo Sargee, 38, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2022, at 4:03 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of unauthorized use of an access card. Bail is set at $1,500.

 

Michael Wade McFarland, 68, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2022, at 4:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Mikelyn Kaye Antoine, 25, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2022, at 10:33 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of alprazolam. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
