St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Eddie Lee Brown IV, 49, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2022, at 5:29 pm on a warrant for failure to appear the charge of failing to register as a sex offender or child predator. Brown also held an MCPD warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension (2 counts), speeding, switched plates, and no insurance. Bail has been set at $33,687.50.  

Andy Joseph Maise, 45, Bridge City, LA, was arrested on December 9, 2022, at 4:47 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper turn/failure to give a proper signal. Bail has been set at $65,00.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
