St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 102 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Christopher Joseph Adams, 42, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2023, at 11:02 pm for criminal trespass, resisting a police officer with force, and criminal damage to property. Adams was released on a $2,000 bond.

 

Lantrell Jamal Ayers, 32, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2023, at 1:51 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Theft
• Resisting arrest or officer
• Possession of firearm-felon
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule IV drugs
• Parole violation

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Mario Calderon-Perez, 29, Amelia, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2023, at 11:22 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of methamphetamines
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of firearm in presence of a CDS
• Disobeyed stop sign

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Kristen Michelle Romero, 36, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on January 8, 2023, at 2:24 am for possession of marijuana (2 counts), possession of CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years of age, and on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Driving under suspension
• Careless operation with accident
• Entry on or remaining in places after being forbidden

Juvenile Male, 17, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 7, 2023, at 9:15 pm for battery-second degree. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Juvenile Male, 16, St. Landry, LA, was arrested on January 8, 2023, at 11:18 am for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and curfew violation-juvenile. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Clint Matthew Bishop, 52, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 8, 2023, at 9:35 am on a warrant for illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Bishop was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
