St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 96 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Joseph Anthony Acosta, 40, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 13, 2023, at 10:40 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Criminal damage to property
• Disturbing the peace- offensive words
• Failure to secure registration
• Operating a vehicle without proof of insurance
• Operating a vehicle without driver's license on person
• Attempted theft

Acosta also held an MCPD warrant for driving on a protected levee. Bail has not been set at this time. 

 

Kendrick Juan Madison, 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 13, 2023, at 4:44 pm for domestic abuse battery, and on a warrant for failure to appear. Bail was set at $6,160. 

 

Brian John Klein, 41, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2023, at 7:00 pm for battery-aggravated. Klein was released on a $500 bond. 

 

Stephanie Lee Milton, 54, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 15, 2023, at 6:50 pm on a Chitimacha Tribal Police Department warrant for theft. Milton was released on a $500 bond. 

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
