St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Derrick Deshawne McDaniel Sr., 38, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 16, 2023, at 1:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property. Bail was set at $4,976.39.

 

Tiearra Andre'a Wilson, 37, Berwick, LA, was arrested on March 16, 2023, at 9:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession/sale/distribution of legend drug without prescription
• Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
