Arrest Report- March 27, 2023

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 97 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

James Darren Robinson, 54, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 25, 2023, at 4:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. Robinson also held an MCPD warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace-intoxicated and contempt of court. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Cameron Nicholas Strother, 22, Berwick, LA, was arrested on March 25, 2023, at 5:23 pm on  the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • No child restraint
  • Possession of THC wax
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of firearm-felon
  • Illegal use of CDS in presence of persons under 17

Strother also held an active warrant with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office.

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Dustin Paul Fitch, 35, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on March 26, 2023, at 9:26 pm for burglary-simple. Bail has not yet been set at this time.

 

Leroy Homer Heaton, 35, New Orleans, LA, was arrested on March 27, 2023, at 1:30 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Bail has not yet been set at this time.

 

Rodrick Anthony Montreal Hunter, 31, Berwick, LA, was arrested on March 26, 2023, at 8:27 am for introduction of contraband-penal institution and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana. Hunter also held an MCPD warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple battery and contempt of court. Bail has not yet been set at this time.

 

Cornelius Dondre Grimm, 28, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 26, 2023, at 3:26 pm on  the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • Possession of legend drug without prescription
  • Possession of schedule IV drugs
  • Telephone calls-harassment

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
