St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Exzaria M. Stewart, 24, Houma, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2023, at 9:04 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Ben Anthony Joseph, 40, Thibodaux, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2023, at 2:52 pm on two warrants for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Hope Michelle Chettiyar, 44, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2023, at 3:42 pm on four warrants for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Brandi Snyder, 36, Anacoco, LA, was arrested on April 4, 2023, at 10:58 pm on the following charges:

• Improper lane use
• Driving under suspension
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of a legend drug
• Possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor
• Resisting an officer by false information
• Warrant out of Adams County, MS

Bail has not been set at this time.
