St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Thomas Christopher Thompson, 49, Berwick, LA, was arrested on May 9, 2023, at 2:52 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Thompson also held two MCPD warrants for failure to appear. Bail was set at $7,892 for the St. Mary Parish warrant.

 

Michael Wayne Gray Jr., 47, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 6, 2023, at 8:52 am on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule IV drugs with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of cocaine
• Improper lane usage

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
