St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 27 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Gerald Vaughn Dupas, 36, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 17, 2023, at 11:52 am for battery of a corrections officer. Dupas continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Dylan Anthony Oubre, 33, Mandeville, LA, was arrested on May 17, 2023, at 5:17 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer, criminal mischief, and possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set at this time.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
