St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 73 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Samantha Lynn Broussard, 35, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 2, 2023, at 4:00 pm for resisting an officer by giving false information, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse-child endangerment law.  Bail has not been set at this time.

Cory James Leblanc, 41, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on June 5, 2023, at 6:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft.  Leblanc also held a Berwick Police Department warrant for resisting an officer by giving false information. Bail has not been set on the SMPSO warrant and a hold was placed on Leblanc for the Berwick P.D. warrant.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
