St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 24 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Charles Lamont Merrit, 43, Patterson, LA, was arrested on June 5, 2023, at 1:35 pm on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender and failing to pay annual registration fee.  Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Allen Ray Only Jr., 41, Centerville, LA, was arrested on June 5, 2023, at 7:49 am on the following charges:

• Domestic abuse battery
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of CDS in the presence of persons under 17

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
