St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 86 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Alan Michael Granger, 33, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 21, 2023, at 3:33 pm for battery-simple. Granger continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Peter Joel Little, 39, Gibson, LA, was arrested on July 23, 2023, at 1:46 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of heroin with intent to distribute
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
• Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
• Possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon
• Illegal use/possession/control of weapons
• Obstruction of justice-tampering with evidence
• Aggravated flight from an officer where human life is endangered
• Possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute
• Possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Theron Alexander, 43, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on July 21, 2023, at 2:38 pm for maximum speed limit, possession of schedule I (marijuana), and possession of schedule IV (Xanax). Alexander was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
