St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Bryson Shane Gaspard, 23, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on July 31, 2023, at 6:43 pm for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Bail has not been set at this time.

David Paul Martin, 42, Bourg, LA, was arrested on July 31, 2023, at 10:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle with improper taillights. Bail has not been set at this time.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
