St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Winter Nicole Verrett, 39, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 1, 2023, at 5:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. Verrett was released on a $2,000 bond.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
