St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 81 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Adrian Marquis Brown, 25, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 18, 2023, at 2:35 pm for battery of a correctional officer. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Wallace Joseph Williams, 53, Pierre Part, LA, was arrested on August 18, 2023, at 10:09 pm on an Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, PFD required, and failure to comply with tiller outboard cutoff. Williams was transported to another agency.

 

Quentin Jamar'r Cooper, 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 20, 2023, at 4:00 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Speeding
• Following too close
• Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
• No seat belt

Bail was set at $1,500.

 

Shalyn D. Provost, 41, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 19, 2023, at 3:07 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. Provost was released on a $100 bond.

 

Sabrina Lynn Legendre, 30, Thibodaux, LA, was arrested on August 19, 2023, at 10:28 am on a Lafourche Parish warrant. Legendre is being held for another agency.

 

Brittany Nicole Mitchell, 32, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on August 20, 2023, at 5:17 pm for simple battery of the infirmed. Bail was set at $5,000.

 

Varice Kevin Richardson, 30, Amelia, LA, was arrested on August 21, 2023, at 2:26 am for second degree battery and simple battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
