St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 59 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Carlos Alfredo Mendoza-Gonzales, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 1, 2023, at 12:40 am for reckless operation-no accident, open container, and no driver's license. Mendoza-Gonzales was released on a $1,250 bond.

 

Aubrey Howard, 48, Gretna, LA, was arrested on August 31, 2023, at 2:49 pm on the following charges:

• Driving on right side of road-exceptions
• Following vehicles
• Driving under suspension
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Open container
• Failure to appear warrant

Howard was released on a $6,000 bond.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
