St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 23 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Marcus Dewayne Battle, 48, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 12, 2023, at 5:53 am on two Lafourche Parish warrants for failure to appear. Battle is being held for another agency.

 

Sable Ann Leal, 33, Gibson, LA, was arrested on September 12, 2023, at 6:38 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule I drug (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Logan Joshua Thomas, 25, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on September 12, 2023, at 10:14 pm for maximum speed limit, possession of schedule II drugs (2 counts), and no insurance. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
