St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Rodrick Anthony Hunter, 32, Berwick, LA, was arrested on September 19, 2023, at 12:20 pm for possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on five warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
• Possession of MDMA with intent to distribute
• Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
• Monetary instrument abuse
• Possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without prescription
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Illegal use/consumption/possession/distribution of CDS in the presence of persons under 17
• Possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine)
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of methamphetamine

Hunter also held an active warrant for the following charges:

• Escape-simple & aggravated
• Driver must be licensed
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Resisting an officer
• Theft sale/distribution/possession of a legend drug without prescription

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Shamus Michael Dardeau, 48, Sunset, LA, was arrested on September 20, 2023, at 11:22 pm for speeding, driving while intoxicated, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Whitney James Rogers, 61, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 20, 2023, at 12:39 am for driving while intoxicated and proper equipment required on vehicles. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Devon Cardell Londo, 24, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on September 19, 2023, at 2:44 pm on two warrants for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
