St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 79 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

E'Jarion Gibson, 22, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 20, 2023, at 7:55 pm on a Franklin Police Department warrant for the charges of speeding and driver must be licensed. Gibson was released on a $350 bond.

 

Tyler Paul Rogers, 29, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 21, 2023, at 9:21 pm on the following charges:

• Aggravated assault with firearm
• Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments
• Disturbing the peace by language
• Resisting arrest or officer

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Ezelle Arvie, 23, Opelousas, LA, was arrested on October 20, 2023, at 3:12 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with improper headlamps and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Arvie was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Charnise Latrell Safford, 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 22, 2023, at 6:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, consumption/possession/distribution of CDS in presence of persons under 17, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Crystal Kay Duhon, 51, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 21, 2023, at 5:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with improper headlamps and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

 

Carl Murray Jr., 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 21, 2023, at 6:41 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of suboxone
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Reckless operation of a vehicle
• Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
• Operating a vehicle not covered by security

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Crystal Kay Duhon, 51, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 21, 2023, at 5:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with improper headlamps and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Celio Jesus Ortega Gomez, 23, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 21, 2023, at 7:07 pm for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Bail has not been set at this time.
