St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Madison Herrington, 20, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2023, at 6:53 pm on the following charges:

• Carnal knowledge of a juvenile
• Indecent behavior with a juvenile
• Producing of pornography involving juveniles (10 counts)
• Trafficking of children for sexual purposes
• Lafayette Parish warrant for trafficking of children for sexual purposes

 

Ty Adam White, 20, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2023, at 6:53 pm on the following charges:

• Carnal knowledge of a juvenile
• Indecent behavior with a juvenile
• Producing of pornography involving juveniles (12 counts)
• Trafficking of children for sexual purposes

A long-term investigation with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, Morgan City Police Department, and the Lafayette Police Department resulted in the arrests of Herrington and White on Thursday.

On Thursday, November 2, 2023, detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office and the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence in Bayou Vista. As the investigation progressed, the detectives made contact with Herrington and White. After conducting interviews with multiple subjects, Herrington and White were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set at this time.

SMPSO detectives would like to thank detectives with the MCPD and Lafayette Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.

 

Juan C. Diaz-Garnica, 30, Amelia, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2023, at 6:53 pm on a warrant out of Ohio for failure to appear. Diaz-Garnica is being held for another agency.

 

Christopher Joseph Adams Jr., 43, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 1, 2023, at 4:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. Adams was released on a $3,000 bond.

 

Frank Joseph Keller Jr., 36, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2023, at 3:33 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery by strangulation and domestic abuse-child endangerment law. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
