St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 84 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jorge Antonio Hernandez, 26, Amelia, LA, was arrested on November 5, 2023, at 11:37 pm for domestic abuse battery by strangulation and domestic abuse-child endangerment law. Bail has not been set at this time.

Hilton Jerome Jack Jr., 26, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 4, 2023, at 1:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of improper lane usage, improper driving in the left lane of a multi-laned highway, and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Bail was set at $500.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
