St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 115 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Deshawn Lamont Lofton, 49, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 23, 2023, at 8:39 pm for battery-second degree. Bail was set at $3,000.

 

Ayla Lashanler Hurt, 32, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 22, 2023, at 2:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of illegal possession of stolen things. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Eric Chan Harvey, 39, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 22, 2023, at 2:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled
• Operating a vehicle with improper headlamps

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Guy Matthew Mabile, 48, Pierre Part, LA, was arrested on November 22, 2023, at 9:57 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $62,115.

 

Michelle Ramkhalawan Ocasio, 46, Harvey, LA, was arrested on November 22, 2023, at 10:05 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, improper lane usage, and aggravated second-degree battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Arturo Garibay Perez, 31, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 22, 2023, at 11:25 pm for driving while intoxicated and driving on roadway laned for traffic. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
