St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 101 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Samantha Jolene Landreneau, 31, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 25, 2023, at 9:04 pm on the following charges:

• DWI- Child endangerment
• Obstruction of highway-aggravated
• Resisting arrest or officer (3 counts)
• No child restraint
• Battery-simple
• Disturbing the peace-intoxicated
• Hit and run
• Self-mutilation by a prisoner

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Niyah Latrice Prevot, 21, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 27, 2023, at 12:16 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property and simple battery. Bail was set at $62,115.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
