St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Connor James Wells, 23, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2023, at 11:12 am for illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities, and on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of animal abuse-simple. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Phi Hoang Lam Duval, 39, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2023, at 1:09 am on the following charges:

• Disturbing the peace-intoxicated
• Possession of methamphetamines
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Assault-simple
• Entry on premises after being forbidden

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
