St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Mavis Sue Pontiff, 49, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2023, at 8:46 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of improper use of registration/license plates/license, failure to secure registration, and operating a motor vehicle not covered by security. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Shawn Casey Lovell Jr., 20, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2023, at 11:36 pm for aggravated assault with a firearm. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Tiesha Rockel Carbin, 22, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2023, at 12:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of conspiracy to distribution of a schedule II CDS-cocaine. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
