St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Brock Carlton McMellon, 40, Abbeville, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2023, at 9:12 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
