St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 110 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Roderick Beauregard Rodriguez, 51, Centerville, LA, was arrested on January 7, 2023, at 11:13 pm for attempted 2nd-degree murder. Bail was set at $500,000.

 

Darren James Darby, 27, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2024, at 1:17 pm for battery of a correctional officer. Darby continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Shakira Dashay Williams, 30, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 7, 2024, at 1:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and speeding. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Ronnie Lee Landry, 47, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2024, at 8:32 pm for no headlights, brake lights required, and driving while intoxicated. Landry was released on $3,000 bond.

 

Mickeylee Berry, 38, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 6, 2024, at 11:44 pm on the charge of parole violation out of Missouri. Berry is being held for another agency.

 

Shannon Pauline Wainwright, 52, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 7, 2024, at 4:14 pm on the following charges:

• Resisting arrest or officer
• Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Obstruction of justice-tampering

Bail was set at $13,000.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
