St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Olivia Sue Hopson, 31, Dequincy, LA, was arrested on January 11, 2024, at 12:12 am oon a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of methamphetamine
• Illegal use/possession/control of weapons-crime of violence/CDS
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Mahmoud Adel Waly, 44, Houma, LA, was arrested on January 10, 2024, at 5:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of buprenorphine
• Possession of MDMA
• Possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without a prescription
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Resisting an officer by providing false information

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Damari Antonio Coleman, 24, Hammond, LA, was arrested on January 10, 2024, at 5:44 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal damage to property-aggravated (2 counts) and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Bail was set at $225,000.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
