St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 172 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Roderick Beauregard Rodriguez, 51, Centerville, LA, was arrested on January 15, 2024, at 9:28 am on a warrant for the following charges:

• Murder-2nd degree
• Obstruction of justice-tampering
• Illegal discharge of a firearm

On January 14, 2024, detectives were contacted by the St. Mary Parish Coroner's Office with information that the victim of the shooting had passed away.

After learning that the victim succumbed to his injuries, detectives obtained a warrant for the charge of 2nd-degree murder with additional charges of obstruction of justice and illegal discharge of a firearm. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Russell Glenn Eary, 60, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 13, 2024, at 7:18 pm for resisting arrest or officer. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Matthew Ryan Senette, 40, Centerville, LA, was arrested on January 15, 2024, at 3:14 pm for protective order-felony. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Denniell Reiko-Leilani Daigle, 38, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 15, 2024, at 3:19 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and protective order-felony. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
