St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:

JaQuincy Colbert, 33, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2024, at 7:31 pm for resisting an officer and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set at this time.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
