St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 22 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Anthony John Pennison Jr., 52, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2024, at 12:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Jason Lee Young Jr., 28, Berwick, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2024, at 12:14 pm for probation violation-felony. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

NARCOTICS

Christopher Broussard, 37, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2024, at 10:49 pm for no taillights, obstruction of justice, and possession of schedule I (marijuana). Bail has not been set at this time.

 

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
