St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Randolph Anthony Joseph, 32, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 7, 2024, at 4:25 pm for armed robbery-aggravated w/weapon, criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace-violent & tumultuous manner.

At 4:16 am, deputies were dispatched to a local business in Franklin for an armed subject that was inside the business destroying the merchandise.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the subject, identified as Joseph, who was in front of the business and speaking incoherently. Deputies ordered Joseph to get on the ground and he complied. Joseph was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set at this time.

James Randy Guerin Jr., 45, Berwick, LA, was arrested on May 6, 2024, at 6:07 pm on two warrants for failure to appear for the charges of battery of a dating partner and leash law. Bail has
not been set at this time.
