St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Elton Dion Jones Jr., 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on May 17, 2024, at 12:59 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of criminal neglect of family.  Bail was set at $8,111.66.

 

Benjamin Albert Broussard, 38, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 17, 2024, at 8:14 pm for violation of protective orders. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Orlando Neco Jordan, 43, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2024, at 1:27 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of possession of hydrocodone and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.  Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Tahjell Blackburn, 19, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2024, at 7:47 pm for theft.  Blackburn was released on a $1,500 bond.
