St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:

James Salone Austin Sr., 42, Verdunville, LA, was arrested on May 23, 2024, at 3:07 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

Rachel Whitney Lebourgeois, 35, Metarie, LA, was arrested on May 23, 2024, at 7:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,500.
