St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 88 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Ricky Wayne Naron Jr., 42, Simsboro, LA, was arrested on July 26, 2024, at 10:55 pm on the following charges:

• Introduction of contraband/penal institution
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of schedule II drugs

Naron also held two MCPD warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and failure to yield/stop sign or yield sign.

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Jose Manuel Bibian Jr., 19, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 27, 2024, at 7:14 pm for battery-simple. Bail was set at $6,000.

 

Kylan Nigel Peters, 21, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 27, 2024, at 7:05 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. Peters was released on a $30,000 bond.

 

Harry James Smith III, 32, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 28, 2024, at 3:45 am on the following charges:

• Driving while intoxicated
• Driving on roadway laned for traffic
• Driving under suspension
• Resisting arrest or officer

Smith was released on a $8,750 bond.
