St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 148 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tony Joseph Broussard, 27, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 23, 2024, at 4:48 pm on a warrant for simple assault. Broussard was released on a $500 personal surety bond.

 

Gregory Todd Lasseigne, 47, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 24, 2024, at 10:36 pm for domestic abuse-child endangerment law. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Tanya Nicole Grogan, 48, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on August 25, 2024, at 3:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the following charges:

• Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
• Careless operation of a motor vehicle
• Improper child restraint
• Possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle
• Operating a vehicle with an expired driver's license

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Norman Henry Griffin, 35, Chauvin, LA, was arrested on August 25, 2024, at 9:57 pm for the following charges:

• Improper lane usage
• Driver must be licensed
• Proper equipment required on vehicle
• No child restraint (5 counts)

Bail was set at $2,000.

 

Byron Keith Wesley Jr., 26, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 26, 2024, at 1:44 am for the following charges:

• Driving on roadway laned for traffic
• Resisting an officer by giving false information
• Failure/owner secure registration
• Failure to appear warrant: disturbing the peace by fighting and resisting an officer

Bail has not been set at this time.
